The Graham Group, Inc. is a full-service national developer of medical office buildings and ambulatory care facilities. Graham is one of the country’s largest private medical office developers/owners. In 2010, the Graham Group started looking for a document imaging service. They needed a place to store all their invoices online. In addition to the desire to become a more paperless office, The Graham Group also needed online documentation as part of their disaster recovery plan. They had tried another online document management system, but found it was not easy to use. Other document management programs offered the features they needed, but the price of the document storage was out of reach.
After seeing a demonstration of Imagetek’s RADIX document management system, the Graham Group had found their solution. Within a couple of months they had transitioned to the paperless office. They are now able to scan all their invoices. Once the documents are scanned, managers can look at the invoices directly from their own computer. There is no need to go digging through a file to find the right document.
The paperless filing system even allows employees who are offsite to access the documents they need instead of requesting someone from accounts payable to find and email the document. “It not only allows us to go paperless, but it also helps with disaster recovery,” says Financial Account Manager Sally Brandhorst. “Since the invoices are scanned and kept off site, we are covered in the event of a disaster.”
The document management system has worked so well, that they hope to expand the services to their construction company.
